Jessica Olsson and Dirk Nowitzki and how they met?
Jessica Olsson met the German NBA player Dirk Nowitzki for the first time in 2010 at a charity event that was held for the SEED project.
He was instantly smitten by the beautiful and talented Jessica who used to work at an art gallery at that time.
Dirk had said:
“What made her so special? What made me fall in love with her? First of all, she’s got to be attractive. That’s obviously part of it. And I think we just clicked intellectually. She likes art, she likes sports. Her brothers both played soccer, they were professional.”
He added:
“She grew up around sports. We both love tennis and we love to travel. We both love kids and family.”
After dating for two wonderful years, the couple walked down the aisle together on 20 July 2012. The wedding venue was in Germany and later in Kenya. They had their honeymoon in the Caribbean.
In 2017, he talked about his interracial wedding in Kenya to Undefeated. The 7-foot tall athlete revealed:
“It was awesome. They took my wife away. They brought five or six girls out and they were all covered. So the first thing I had to do was find my wife. So I’m walking around and looking at how tall they are.”
“I guess it’s one of the traditions. If you get it wrong, you got to pay the parents a goat or something. So I was lucky. I smelled her to find the right one. So, I got lucky there. But that was just an experience that I’ll never forget.”
Dirk was also in African-Kenyan attire. The couple has three children named Max, Malaika, and Morris.

When they made their relationship public, Dirk and Jessica got a lot of race-related comments on their Twitter. Dirk said:
“Everybody that’s met my wife has said she’s great with me. So I haven’t heard any of that to my face. I’m sure there’s some people that think of it to themselves. But, I’ve never heard it to my face.”
He added:
“Growing up in Germany, and basketball. We’ve always grown up around all sorts of races. I played with the national team where half of my teammates were from Yugoslavia. Color or race for me never really mattered, and that’s also the beauty of sports.”
“You’re a team. Same with marriage. You’re a team, and pulling on the same string. You try to make it work and chemistry has got to be there. That is just the way I was raised.”

Jessica is born to a Swedish father and a Kenyan mother. Her mother’s exact town is Nanyuki in Kenya. It is a market town which is in the northwest of Mount Kenya and was founded by British settlers.
It is the home of the Kenya Air Force. Born in Gavle in Sweden, she was raised with her twin brothers named Marcus and Martin. They are both soccer players.
