Jonah Hill’s former girlfriend Sarah Brady blasts him for emotional abuse

Jonah Hill‘s ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady claims that the actor showed emotionally abusive behavior toward her when they were together.

The surfer claimed in a series of Instagram Stories on Friday that the 39-year-old movie star would manipulate and gaslight her into removing photos from her social media in a swimsuit.

Brady, however, did not accuse the You People star of any physical abuse. She, however, shared a screen recording of a message her ex-boyfriend allegedly once sent her. There he stated that some of her social media posts were inappropriate.

It is not sure whether her posts were real.

In some of the messages, the Don’t Look Up actor reportedly asked her to remove her “ass in a thong.”

Sarah claimed that she compiled in removing her snaps. But the actor allegedly told her it was a “good start” but that she didn’t “seem to get” his point.

In a separate screenshot from December 2, 2021, the Jump Street star apparently claimed in the text that he wanted to end his relationship with his then-girlfriend if she continued having “boundaryless [sic] inappropriate friendships with men” as well as “friendships with women who are in unstable places.”

In one of her posts, Sarah claimed that she and the actor had been seeing a couples’ therapist named Dr. Stern, “once a week for 4 months.”

Furthermore, she claimed that the therapist also advised her during a session to “paddle away from any man that approached [her] in the water, no matter his age.”

In a screenshot, she sent to her unnamed friend, Sarah said,

“I was instructed to say ‘I’m going to go talk to my boyfriend’ and then paddle away,”

Sarah seemingly forgave Hill for his past actions

The law student and Hill dated from August 2021 to early 2022. She revealed that the reason why she chose to stay relatively silent since their breakup was because “keeping it to [herself] was causing more damage to [her] mental health than sharing it could ever do.”

In one of her posts, Brady wrote,

“I too struggle with mental health but I do not use it to control ppl [sic] like he did to me,”

“It’s been a year of healing & growth with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life without guilt, shame and self-judgement for things as small as surfing in a swimsuit rather than a more conservative wetsuit. And I’m sure there’s still much more healing from this abuse ahead of me.”

Sarah, however, had some empathy for her former boyfriend and said that his actions did not make him a terrible person.

She wrote,

“Someone being an emotionally abusive partner doesn’t mean they’re a terrible person (often stems from their own trauma) and at the same time it doesn’t mean it’s ok.”

The War Dogs star is now engaged to Olivia Miller and they welcomed a child in June.
