Who is Herschel Walker’s wife, Julie Blanchard?

Julie Blanchard is the second wife of Herschel Walker. The couple knew each other since 2009 but decided to walk down the aisle in May 2021 after more than a decade of relationship.

Herschel was earlier married to Cindy DeAngelis Grossman. They were college sweethearts and exchanged wedding vows in 1983. They have a son together whose name is Christian and is a social media influencer. Christian had criticized his father in 2022 for having pressurized his ex-girlfriend to abort their two babies despite being an advocate against abortion.

Herschel and Cindy divorced in 2002. He also has three other kids (2 sons and 1 daughter) from his past relationships. He told Daily Beast in June 2022:

“I have four children. Three sons and a daughter. They’re not ‘undisclosed’ — they’re my kids. I support them all and love them all,”

Julie’s investigation

Herschel’s wife, Julie was under investigation for having voted for the 2020 US Presidential election from Georgia while residing in Texas. This news came to light in August 2021.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution states:

“It is illegal for non-residents to vote in Georgia in most circumstances.”

Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs had said at that time:

“It is standard practice for the secretary of state’s office to open an initial investigation into complaints,”
“That is a policy the Secretary put in place upon taking office, and upon his approval, this particular investigation was approved to move forward into a full investigation.”

Julie had defended herself. She said that she owns a house in Georgia. And she has a Georgia driver’s license, Georgia car and her business is based there. But she was with Herschel in Texas that year. Since 2008, she has never voted in Georgia. Her voter registration stood canceled in 2017 and she re-registered in 2019.

Herschel poll loss amidst the abortion controversy

Herschel was contesting for the 2022 US election as a Republican from Georgia. But a controversy erupted that lowered his chances of win. Ultimately, he lost the election to Democrat Raphael Warnock.

In October 2022 before the December 2022 election, Daily Beast shared some text messages that his ex-girlfriend and baby mom had with his wife, Julie. It showed that Herschel had asked her to abort their babies in 2009 and 2011.

He had paid for her first abortion but she refused to go ahead with abortion the second time and gave birth to their son. She alleged that Herschel has seen this son only thrice until then. And he has not met him even once in last 6.5 years. He only sends some gifts intermittently to him.

Herschel’s first wife, Cindy had also accused Herschel of domestic violence and called the police when Herschel went over to her house with a weapon.

During a marriage counseling session, Herschel had threatened to kill himself, Cindy and her therapist Jerry Mungadze. Cindy also disclosed during the divorce proceedings that Herschel had placed a pistol on her head and said:

“I’m going to blow your f’ing brains out.“

She added that he used to frighten her with knives. Even after divorce, he displayed a violent behavior towards Cindy, her boyfriend and her son. He also had extra-marital relationships while been married to Cindy. He was also violent in behavior with his other girlfriends.
