Barbara Corcoran and Bill Higgins are living a blissful marital life. The happy couple have been married for nearly four decades.

The 75-year-old businesswoman recently appeared on Today with Hoda & Jenna where she got candid about her marriage life.

When TV host Jenna Bush questioned her about what makes her relationship “fun,” she replied that having “separate bedrooms” is the secret to her successful marriage.

She explained,

“I’ve had a separate bedroom with Bill for like 40 years. I have to invite him in — he invites me in occasionally, It keeps the sexiness in the whole thing.”

The Shark Tank star clarified that their differing lifestyles are why she and her husband sleep in different rooms. Barbara said,

“He’s such a mess. He puts piles of stuff everywhere, and I’m very neat, I couldn’t sleep well at night and now I sleep like a baby.”

Besides, they also had some fun in their marriage, as Corcoran revealed that she and Higgins dressed up as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in February.

Bill wore a red jersey with Kelces’s Chiefs number, 87, on it. The real estate agent, on the other hand, sported a black shirt and pants.

In addition, she also wore a long, blonde wig. After seeing her with long hair, she recalled her husband’s reaction.

“To see me with long hair, it drove him crazy,”

The real estate guru revealed she was the one who proposed to Bill in the 80s. She quipped about her husband,

“The mistake I made was I proposed to both of my husbands. I should’ve thought about it longer. [I proposed to them] before they were ready. I forced them into marriage,”

“I wanted to get a husband so I said, ‘What the heck!'”

In 1988, Barbara tied the knot to retired Navy Captain, Bill on Valentine’s Day after seven years of dating. They encountered in 1981 at a business conference.

The two shared two children a son Tom, whom they welcomed in 1994, and daughter Kate, whom they later adopted.
