Is Kanye West going from Riches to Rags?
Kanye West, nicknamed “Ye” since his deal with Adidas fell apart, could face a financial crisis within months. Ye has become the subject of controversy after his non-stop anti-Semitic comments in these past weeks.
In the wake of his never-ending controversial issues, a lot of big companies including Vogue, Adidas, Balenciaga, GAP, and more have dropped their partnership with him. One of the rapper’s biggest losses from this year was his $1.5 billion deal with Adidas.
According to Forbes, he has an estimated $400 million net worth as of now.
Fans of Kanye West have come in support to help him reclaim his billionaire status. They started a GoFundMe campaign “Make Kanye West a Billionaire Again” with a fundraising goal of $1 billion.
Supporters launched several pages in which one of the specific fundraisers only raised $5 and has since been taken down.

Despite some of them coming in support, many have since promoted their own GoFundMe pages encouraging others to make them billionaires instead of West.
This is not the first time his fans have conducted a GoFundMe page for him
Ye’s fans previously had also started a GoFundMe page to raise $53 million for him in 2016. The Grammy winner claimed that he was in debt for that amount.
Jeremy Piatt, who professes to be a fan of the “Yeezus” artist, also created a GoFundMe page for Kanye. Piatt posted,
“Kanye West, prolific entertainer/fashion icon/celebrity/member of the Kardashian family needs our help! Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can’t be realized.”
The campaign had raised around $57,398, however, West refused to take the funds raised by his GoFund campaign. Since the funds were instead donated to a music charity, Notes for Notes.
