“My dad was so happy for me”

Losing someone important is never easy. Especially the happy times that you spend together keep Katharine Mcphee couldn’t help but post a long captioned picture where she talked about how unexpected death can be, so wanted everyone to enjoy life today.

She wrote:

“It’s been a hard week. Lots of tears but I want to thank my friends and family for all the love and support. My dad was so happy for me. My ring was the last thing I showed my dad before he passed and makes me smile when I look at this as a reminder of our last conversation. And now I’m ready to share with all of you what has been my sunshine amongst this painful loss. My love wisely said to me the other day that “death is the only thing that is 100 per cent inevitable and the thing we are least prepared for.” So today we’re celebrating life and not forgetting love. ❤”

Katharine’s heartbreaking message about her father

Katharine wanted her father to see her Broadway debut but unfortunately, Daniel McPhee couldn’t last long.

The television producer’s death was announced by Katharine via her Instagram with a heart-breaking message.

She wrote that she couldn’t believe herself writing about her father, who is also her best friend.

She started:

“I can’t believe I’m even writing this…”

She informed me that her father passed away the morning before the post. The fact that the person who was not the only father but also her biggest supporter and fan was no more gave a big ache in her heart which made her say that she would never be the same.

She continued:

“But it is with a heavy heart that I share that my sweet sweet Papa left this earth yesterday morning. We as a family are completely heartbroken and devastated. He was my biggest fan, my biggest champion, always telling me to “Give em hell kid!” He was so kind and caring and made sure we knew how much he loved us. Not sure my heart will ever be the same. I’m so sad he missed my Broadway debut. But when I return to the stage next week I hope he can watch it in peace and from up above. Thank you to all my friends who’ve been so loving and supportive these last 48 hours. I love you, Papa. I already miss you so much. This hurts. ????”

A complicated love-life

As the actress showed off her ring, it requires us to know about her relationship. She is currently engaged to 68-year-old actor David Foster.

Well, the age difference may be too big to believe but that doesn’t stop these two from loving each other eternally. If she gets married to David, this will be her second marriage but the other fact is that it will be David’s fifth marriage.

And to break it to you, her ex-husband Nick Cockas was much older than her as well. You can just say that McPhee is “just into older guys”.

Not everyone seems to support their relationship, maybe because of the age difference. David’s 35-year-old comedian daughter, Erin Foster shows a ‘not-so-happy’ reaction about her father having a relationship with a 34-year-old female when she trolled her “mommy” in her father’s post.

She also posted in her Instagram stories with the caption:

“Excited about my new stepmom,” and, “My parents.”

But since Erin isn’t objecting to her father’s dating life and in a recent interview, she gave a happy talk about her future step-mom, we can just assume that it was our misjudgment. But we only wish for the two to find love in each other.
