Katharine McPhee, 38, has entered the world of entrepreneurship. The “Smash” star has expanded her career portfolio as a side hustle, establishing her own brands.

This week, McPhee launched her very own jewelry line called KMF. She made an announcement while making an appearance on the show CBS Mornings on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

The former American Idol contestant arrived at Good Morning America showcasing her new brand KMF jewelry in which she looks chic.

On Thursday, Katharine sported a fitted pale pink dress with a calf-leather duster coat that she wore on her shoulders. She then paired the glamorous frock with a turtleneck neckline and other chic pieces from her jewelry brand KMF Jewelry. Similarly, she tops off her look with pale pink pointed heels.

McPhee, on the other hand, styled her long ombre locks loose in waves with part of it pulled back into a bun.

According to her, KMF, the brand’s name nods to her married initials ‘Katharine McPhee Foster‘.Katharine is a married woman. She is married to super-producer David Foster with whom she shares a 20-months-old son Rennie.

While talking about Katharine’s inspiration behind her jewelry line, she went on to say which she retains on her website as well,

“Without a doubt my first love has always been singing & acting, but another love has been with me since my earliest of memories,”

The Somewhere Over the Rainbow singer recalled,

“At school I was always busy doing jewelry trades with my best friends on the school desk. Instead of trading Pokémon or dolls it was silver rings,”

“Friday nights I’d lay in bed with my mom watching jewelry channels & screaming with delight which ones were my favorites! Every birthday I’d wear with pride my multicolored clown pin given specially from my Great Aunt Ruth,”

The Let Your Heart Sing hitmaker concluded by saying,

“Expression through jewelry has always been a constant in my life, and today I’m blessed enough to be able to share that passion with you.”

Katharine McPhee will be hosting an event to help promote the launch of her new KMF Jewelry line

Katharine is gearing up to host an exciting event on Thursday, November 17. In an Instagram post, Katharine announced that she and KMF Jewelry is hosting a launch pop-up on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

The star will also be at the pop-up joined by her husband, David Foster, and the couple will be putting on a free concert. The IG statement reads,

“Come celebrate the release of @kmfjewelry with me!! I’m so excited to announce we are taking over Rodeo Dr in Beverly Hills on Nov 17th and doing a launch pop up where you’ll be able to see and purchase the product in person for the first time ever! I’ll be hanging out with fans all afternoon AND @davidfoster and I will be doing a FREE concert right after on the main stage. Come on by and start the holiday celebrations with us.”

What are the collections?

Katharine’s KMF Jewelry has the very first collections called Blossom, Harmony, and Imperial Rope. The Imperial Rope Necklace (from $2,377) is one of McPhee’s personal favorite pieces. The Necklace can be styled in multiple ways. She says of the style’s double-link closure,

“It has this beautiful clasp you have to know how to [open and close],”
“It was originally going to be the back of the necklace, and I thought it was such a cool clasp. You can wear it in the back or in the front, and it’s completely unisex. It’s something completely different — we know it is, because we’ve patented it!”

Similarly, KMF’s number of necklaces feature double strands to lend the look of wearing multiple pieces at once.
