The Princess of Wales who spent her privately, received a special birthday message from King Charles III and Queen consort Camilla on Monday.

The British royals’ official X page shared an adorable tribute featuring a photo of the future Queen.

The photo which was taken by Chris Jackson from Getty Images shows Catherine with the King and Queen consort in a behind-the-scenes moment at last year’s coronation.

They simply captioned it,

“Wishing The Princess of Wales a very happy birthday today!”

Last year, Charles and Camilla celebrated Catherine’s birthday by sharing a thoughtful photo of hers. They chose a snap of Catherine during her first visit to Wales since becoming the new Princess of Wales with her husband Prince William in 2022.

In the photo, the mother of three flashed a smile as she accepted a bouquet from a young child who wore a traditional Welsh costume.

Prince William shared a sad message on Catherine’s birthday

Prince William, for his part, interrupted his wife’s birthday with an emotional message. On the joyous day, the Prince of Wales posted a special tribute to Welsh rugby player JPR Williams. The rugby legend passed away on Monday at age 74.

The 42-year-old wrote in English and Welsh on X,

“There was no one quite like him on the rugby field. A true @WelshRugbyUnion great, my thoughts are with JPR Williams’ family and friends,”

The future king signed the message as ”W”, using his first initial to notify that the message was directly from him.

In a statement to the BBC on Monday, Williams’ family revealed that the athlete ”died peacefully today at the University Hospital of Wales surrounded by his loving wife and four children, after a short illness, bravely battling bacterial meningitis. The family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
