Lady Louise Windsor marks her 21st birthday
Lady Louise Windsor, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, celebrated her 21st birthday on November 8, 2024.
The royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, sent warm birthday wishes to her through their official X account.
They shared a charming photo of Louise participating in carriage driving at the Royal Windsor Horse Show earlier in the year, along with a birthday cake emoji.
The post read,
“Happy 21st Birthday to Lady Louise!”
Louise has a passion for carriage driving, a skill she learned from her late grandfather, Prince Philip. She frequently competes in the annual Royal Windsor Horse Show.
Additionally, she is making history as the first female royal to join the military since Queen Elizabeth by training with the Officers’ Training Corps at her university.
Lady Louise Windsor was born on November 8, 2003, facing significant challenges. She was born prematurely via an emergency Caesarean section due to a condition called placental abruption.
At birth, Lady Louise weighed only 4 pounds and 9 ounces.
Following her delivery, she spent time in a neonatal unit and was separated from her mother for six days while her mother remained hospitalized until November 23, 2003.
Currently, Louise is 16th in line for the British throne alongside her younger brother James.
However, their parents chose not to give them royal titles like ‘prince’ and ‘princess’ at birth because they wanted their children to have a normal life.
Similarly, both Louise and James are expected to pursue independent careers as they grow older rather than relying solely on their royal status.
Lady Louise’s Birthday Bash
As Lady Louise steps into adulthood, she is expected to balance her royal life and personal aspirations.
Currently, she is in her third year of studying English Literature at St Andrews University, a prestigious institution where her cousins, Prince William and Princess Kate, also study.
Recently, Lady Louise celebrated her 21st birthday with university friends, including her rumored Australian boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp.
During the celebration, they were seen showing affection towards each other. They spotted placing their arms around one another and their heads gently touching.
She also took selfies while cuddling with Felix, resting her head on his shoulder and placing her hand on his chest.
For this special occasion, she wore a classic little black dress with a V-neck design. Over the past two years, Lady Louise and Felix have developed a strong bond.
Felix, whose father is a solicitor, even visited the Sandringham estate in Norfolk in June to support her during a driving competition where she won a silver medal.
