In 2015, she joined UCLA and received the 2016 Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Year. Following that, she became the WGCA Player of the Year, Pac-12 Conference Golfer of the Year, and Honda Award finalist. Then, she was placed first on the all-time UCLA career, earning eight individual victory titles.

As an amateur, she played in the U.S. Women’s Open and the ANA Inspiration.

After turning professional in January 2019, Lilia Vu made one cut in nine starts, to make her place for the 2019 LPGA Tour.

For the first time, she got three titles on the Symetra Tour and was placed in the top 250 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings. Along with her victory in the Garden City Charity Classic, the Twin Bridges Championship, and the Four Winds Invitation, she added the 2021 Potawatomi Cup and bonus prize money.

Defeating Angle Yin in the 2023 Chevron Championship, she again beat Charly Hull at the 2023 Women’s British Open.
