Inside the Trial and Idea of Breaking Record By Beth Neale and Miles Cloutier

The couple was planning to break this record as they struck the idea back in 2020. Despite all of their practice, underwater filmmakers Beth and Miles admit breaking the record in itself was much more difficult than they expected. The couple said,

“Three days before the record, I could just not hold my breath, We couldn’t even break the existing record – we weren’t even close.”

The professional could not agree less on how challenging it was though both of them were professionals underwater. Miles even renamed the version of his record-breaking feat, “the hero’s journey of a breath hold.”

Despite being professionals, they had to resist the urge to swim to the surface. They take a deep breath at times at trials as the carbon dioxide continued to pile inside their bodies.

They had the zeal to attempt a next time and just achieve it by looking to each other for support during their record-breaking attempt.
