Lucy Spraggan is now off the market! The former X Factor star, 32, has taken the next step in her relationship with Emilia Smith.

She took to Instagram on Sunday, March 31, to share the happy news that she and her best friend of 10 years Emilia are now officially engaged.

Lucy shared a series of lovey-dovey photos of the two from their engagement photoshoot and announced their upcoming wedding plans. The couple is set to tie the knot in June.

She wrote in the caption section,

“When you know you know, That’s response we’ve heard the most over the last few weeks when Emilia & I have told our people that we are, in fact, getting married in June . That’s a phrase I really thought I understood throughout my life, that I believed I had a full appreciation of but…It wasn’t until I fell in love with my friend of 10 years that I truly felt it.”

She then went to gush over her now-fiancee praising her for being there for her during her “darkest days”.

“@emiliakate__, who has quite literally been there all along Em, that spent hours on the phone with me on my darkest days, who always sent a card in the post to cheer me on, who sent me 48 Tunnocks Tea Cakes when I’d run out whilst writing my book knowing full well they were the emotional support food getting me through the edit. Em, who spoke the same language as me. Who felt feelings to the same kind of depths that I’ve always felt them. Who I always understood, like really understood, and who always understood me. The person I’d go on long walks with & spend whole days at the spa with, talking about everything and anything. Who I always felt completely seen & heard by.”

The reality TV star expressed her gratitude towards Emilia and concluded the statement with excitement of turning their 10 years of friendship into marital life.

Lucy further talked about her and Emilia’s friendship through the years in an interview with Fabulous Magazine. She said,

“Emilia and I were those friends who said: ‘If we’re not married by the time we’re 40, we’ll get married to each other,’ and somehow, this deep friendship opened up into attraction.”

Similarly, Simon Cowell would confirm to walk her down the aisle. She explained,

“We’d been staying at Simon and Lauren’s house for a few days. One morning, Simon was about to get in the sea and I asked him: ‘Will you give me away? ‘ and he replied: ‘Yeah! ‘. He then went off for a swim and when he returned, he told me: ‘I’d absolutely love to. It would be an honour’.”
