Giulio Einaudi, Ludovico’s father was a publisher who worked with some renowned authors, such as Italo Calvino and Primo Levi. Einaudi’s mother, Renata Aldrovandi who was from a musical background family, used to play piano to him when he was a child.

After that, he started to explore more personal expression in his series of works for dance, multimedia, and piano. Einaudi collaborated with many in the video, theatre, and dance which included compositions for the ‘Sul filo d’Orfeo’.
His famous collaborations include ‘Time Out’ in 1988, ‘The Wild Man’ in 1990, and ‘Emperor’ in 1991. Einaudi also collaborated on an opera/ballet, commissioned by Arena di Verona.
Ludovico Einaudi started to compose soundtracks for films in the mid-1990s. He gave music in two films; ‘Da qualche parte in citta’ in 1994, and ‘Acquario’ in 1996 for which he won the Grolla d’ror for the best soundtrack.
The Italian composer, wrote the score for ‘Giorni dispari’ and composed a soundtrack with Treno di Panna in 1998. He collaborated with Antonello Grimaldi on ‘Un delitto impossibile’ he composed the soundtrack for ‘Fuori del mondo’ in 2000 which won him the Echo Klassik award in Germany.
In 2002, Einaudi composed the soundtrack for ‘Luce dei miei occhi’ which was well appreciated and won him many awards.
Ludovico Einaudi released his first solo ‘Le Onde’ on BMG, and 1998 was a mainstream success. Eventually, his next release ‘I Giorni’ had more of a personal touch as it was inspired by his travels in Africa.
Einaudi’s other famous creations are La Scala Concert 03.03.03’, ‘Divenire’ (which was at the top of the iTunes classical chart.), ’In a Time Lapse’, and ‘Elements’.
