American actress, Mackenzie Mauzy has dated and later married author, poet, coach, philanthropist, and premier lacrosse league player, Scott Ratliff. The marriage was on 1 October 2022 at Big Sur in California. The two are in great love and Scott often posts on his social media details of his wife, Mackenzie’s movies, and release dates. Recently, her movie Sun Moon was released. The shoot was done in Taiwan and Mackenzie was there for two months for it. The couple has no children yet.

Scott is from Atlanta, Georgia, and ventured into lacrosse which was a lesser-known game in that state. He played during his college days for Loyola Greyhounds and won the national championship in 2012. Actress Mackenzie has been dating American actor, Sam Heughan since late 2015. The two were spotted together at the 2017 Oscar party. But the same year, the couple parted ways.

Prior to dating Sam, Mackenzie was in a marital relationship with American Idol Contestant and actor, John Arthur Greene. The couple dated and wed on 9 June 2012. But in a couple of years of married life, the love between them was gone. And they divorced in 2015.

John had appeared on the show American Idol. On the show, John talked about how he had killed his brother unintentionally during their teenage days. It was an accidental death at the hands of John. He revealed:

‘My brother and I were completely inseparable when we were growing up. It was me and him. We would always play cops and robbers and army and things like that.’

He continued to narrate:

‘We were playing one night, on my parents’ wedding anniversary, and I was hiding – it was my chance to hide.’
‘We were playing cops and robbers and growing up on the farm we always handled the guns in the house and we were always extremely safe. Nothing was ever loaded.’
‘It just so happened that night one of them was loaded and I picked up a gun and I called him into the room and it went off,’

John was just eight years old at that time. The native of Raleigh, North Carolina was emotional and said:

‘I held my brother and watched him die and I knew it when I had him in my arms. I knew he was gone and I knew it was my fault.’
‘Having that as an eight-year-old was extremely hard. I miss him every day. If I could take his place, I would. Music was really the way that I coped with everything,’

John, 34 is in New York City and works on Broadway and in films.
