Though Beata did not have MSP was revealed in the court, she was placed in state custody. Afterward, Beata was not able to see her family and Maya for three months. Even the judge did not give her permission to hug her daughter, which made her inconsolable.

The separation deteriorated Beata’s mental health and after spending 87 days without her daughter, she committed suicide in January 2017 at the age of 43.
