Meghan Markle is pregnant!

After days of rumors and speculations, the pregnancy news has been confirmed!

Kensington Palace released a statement saying:

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.

Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

The newborn baby of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be 7th in line to the throne.

Meghan, 41, and Prince Harry, 38 were married 5 months ago at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. There have been reports that the royal family knew about the pregnancy on Friday at Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

People had begun to suspect that Meghan was pregnant when she appeared at the royal wedding in a long, loose-fitting coat.

The rumors got fire today; she was pictured arriving from her long flight from the UK to Sydney holding large purple folders in front of her stomach.

The Zika Virus and travel

Zika virus is known to be very dangerous for pregnant women as the virus is known to affect the mental and physical development of the developing fetus.

So there were suggestions that Meghan will not travel to Tonga and Fiji, where the virus is an epidemic. But this has been confirmed to be false as the palace spokesperson told Britain’s Daily Mirror that she will travel thereafter “medical advice about the risk of the Zika virus on the islands of Fiji and Tonga.”

Help with the baby

Royal sources also revealed that Meghan’s mother Doria may move to London to help them to be new parents to take care of the baby and Meghan does not want to hire a nanny. She would rather take her mother’s help to take care of the baby.

Another statement shared that Doria is very happy:

 “(Doria) very happy at this lovely news and is looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild”

Both Prince Harry and Meghan had previously revealed that they wanted to be parents someday.

Harry had said:

“Of course I would love to have kids right now but there’s a process that one has to go through and tours like this are great fun. Hopefully I’m doing all right by myself. It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure, but you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens.”

Meghan had said that it was on her bucket list to be a mother.
