Meghan Markle made her debut at the 2023 Invictus Games.
The Duchess of Sussex traveled from Los Angeles to be with her husband, Prince Harry in Düsseldorf, Germany, Tuesday to meet the friends and family of this year’s competitors.
For the reception, the former Suits actress looked radiant in a black pleated shirtdress from Banana Republic Factory paired with matching heels.
The mom of two accessorized her look with a beaded friendship bracelet that read, I am Invictus which is the motto of the sporting event.
Meghan, 42, looked happy as she appeared on the stage alongside her husband to give a speech. She also apologized to the audience for missing the opening ceremony.
As per Hello Magazine, Meghan said,
“It is so special to be here, and I’m so sorry that I was a little late for the party,”
“Just like so many of you, we know this is about family and friends and the community that Invictus has created … and so I had to just spend a little bit more time getting our little ones settled at home,”
She continued,
“Getting milkshakes, doing school drop off and then I just landed a couple of hours ago. I am thrilled that the first event that I can do with Invictus is here with all of you.”
The former actress concluded her speech by giving a little tribute to her two children: Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet Diana, 2.
The Duchess said,
“Have the best time, we’re cheering for you, and we can’t wait to bring our kids also so they can experience just how awesome this is,”
“Thank you guys so so much.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry displayed affection at the Invictus Games
Before making her way onstage, Markle was pictured happily greeting and hugging competitors like Glory Essien whom the former addressed as her Nigerian sister.
Prince Harry, 38, started the sixth annual Invictus Games honoring the wounded, sick, and injured servicemen and women on Saturday.
Just days later, Meghan looked comfy and chic in a $40,000 designer outfit while she boarded a flight from Los Angeles to London.
On Wednesday, the couple looked cozy at the ceremony with the two smiling and being affectionate during the wheelchair basketball finals in the city.
The prince couldn’t keep his hands off his wife as he whispered something into her ear and tenderly wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
The duo coordinated their outfit in all-black looks with the Suits alum sporting a black tank top and matching jeans.
The sixth in line to the throne rocked a black shirt and black denim.
