Melissa Rivers took the next step in her relationship with her boyfriend Steve Mitchel. The couple reportedly got engaged last month during a romantic trip to Mexico.

The engagement rumors began swirling after Melissa, the daughter of the late Joan Rivers, was spotted with a gain, 5.6-carat diamond ring at BravoCon over the weekend.

A source told Page Six,

“He [Mitchel] has the guts to come up and talk to her, and the rest is history. He couldn’t be any more removed from the Hollywood world, which is perfect for her.”

Steve Mitchel is a Los Angeles-based attorney. The couple have been dating for one-and-a-half years after meeting at an event on mental health.

The podcast host, 55, stayed single for many years before she began a relationship with sports coach Jason Zimmerman.

Melissa and Jason dated for three years before they got seperated in 2011 after Zimmerman was accused of infidelity.
