Mike Sorrentino and his wife welcomed a baby boy

The reality star and his wife welcomed their first child together. Lauren gave birth to a baby boy weighing 6 lbs., 8 oz., and measured 19 inches long. As per Mike’s Instagram page, she gave birth to the baby through a cesarean section.

The couple shared the news of baby Romeo’s arrival through their respective Instagram page. The proud father of the baby shared a picture of them from a hospital with the caption which reads “Romeo Reign Sorrentino”. Both of them shared a picture of their little baby wrapped in a blanket adorned with his moniker.

Mike and his wife Lauren shared their pregnancy journey with their audience in the show. Moreover, they also updated their followers through their social media.

Last month, they had a baby shower at their New Jersey home to celebrate their baby-on-board. The couple also shared some of the exclusive videos from the event with PEOPLE.

At the time, the father of the new-born stated to PEOPLE:

“We had such an amazing time showering baby Sitch this weekend with our closest family and friends! The day was truly magical, you could feel the love in the room,”

Pregnancy and struggles

In 2018, Lauren suffered a miscarriage after she conceived the night her husband was released from prison. At the time, she revealed that she miscarried at about six and a half, seven weeks.

Lauren conceived after her husband came after serving eight months for tax evasion at the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution. The reality star further explained she was really excited when she got pregnant for the first time.

She also added:

“When I found out we were pregnant I felt like this is why we went through all these challenges for years and that this was our time and it was our blessing. It was hard. It was really difficult. I didn’t want to hold this in. I wanted to share it for other people going through it and just be honest so I can kind of heal through the process.”
