“My legs were giving out”-DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd reveals her recent scary health condition!

Australian-New Zealand dancer Peta Murgatroyd is a pro when it comes to dancing. She is not only highly talented but has never missed a show of DWTS for any reason. But, on 28 April, something inevitable happened. Let us know about it further!

Peta’s health scare

Peta, 32 was performing in Grand Prairie, Texas when she realized that she could not move her arms and legs. The show was part of the “Maks & Val & Peta: Confidential” tour in which her husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his brother, Val Chmerkovskiy were also participating.

Peta has posted her illness details on her Instagram post dated 29 April 2018. She revealed that on Saturday the 28 April 2018 she work up feeling a bit nauseated. Similarly, she has a son named Shai who is 15 months old. She managed to continue with her daily work and take care of her son as usual. She wrote:

“In the afternoon, the vomiting (and you know what) started. I thought it was food poisoning. I had a fever and chills and just tried to sleep it off before the show,” 

But her symptoms persisted and in fact, got worse. At 8 pm, Peta could not feel her arms and legs. She added:

“I had no idea how I was going to walk out that door,”

On stage

She was not even able to walk. She still somehow managed to reach the stage and quickly realized that she would not be able to complete the choreography. Peta further said:

“I tried my best to dance but my legs were giving out. Apart from it being very embarrassing, it was very scary, I am so, so sorry for not being able to give out he show you all deserved.”

Her husband Maksim, 38, and his brother Val, 32 were around and called in. The cast and crew of the tour also pitched in.

The recovery

Without divulging much about her medical condition and what led to it, according to the doctors, Peta disclosed that she is presently recovering and feeling much better. Peta wrote:

“I am feeling better today and look forward to seeing all our fans, Thank you for your understanding and support. I love you and I am so sorry again!” 

She was able to do the show and her performance in Kansas City.

Peta was feeling very sorry for the whole incident and her inability to do the show as promised. Luckily for Peta, her loving fans were very understanding. They provided her with much-needed moral support. One commented on Instagram:

“You shouldn’t have to apologize, your health is most important! Get well soon,”

Peta was dating Maksim Chmerkovskiy off and on since 2012. They got engaged on 5 December 2015. He had proposed to her onstage in Miami, Florida during a performance. Peta delivered a cute baby boy named Shai on 4 January 2017. The couple tied the knot on 8 July 2017 at Oheka Castle in Long Island, NY.
