NorthJersey.com has reported that Nadine Arslanian Menendez, wife of Sen. Bob Menendez is a habitual police caller. In the last 14 days, she has called or reached out to the police at least 18 times. This habit began even before she married the senator and has not stopped after the marriage.

Normal law-abiding citizens of any nation avoid involving the police in their day-to-day matters. Even if they are forced to ring in the police, it might be rare and not usually more than 1-2 times in their whole lifetime. But this is not the case with Nadine Arslanian Menendez, the wife of Senator Robert ‘Bob’ Menendez. Nadine has called the police or reached the local police department 18 times until now.
This happened over a period of 14 years and had started even before her marriage to the senator. And Nadine did not stop this act after she wed Bob.
Nadine’s residence comes under the Englewood Cliffs Police Department. And she has been repeatedly involving them in certain matters related to her life. NorthJersey.com has noted and observed this fact.
Reasons for calling the police
The website has revealed some of the reasons for which Nadine rang the local police authorities. Once, a neighbor had run over her cement flowerpot placed at the end of her driveway. Nadine considered it a heinous crime and rang up the police to complain.
Again, Nadine called the police when she saw a number of cars on her street and thought them to be suspicious. When Nadine got some messages that annoyed her, she called the police. Nadine had blocked some phone numbers and when she got a high number of calls from those numbers, she called the police. It seems to have become a routine.

Nadine rang the police station when she believed that it was her former boyfriend who had deliberately cut the cable wire of her home. Once, Nadine called her local police to inform them that she felt that someone is following her car when she was in other North Jersey towns.
What do the experts say on this matter?
Nadine’s habitual police calling disturbs their routine work and prevents them from attending real emergency calls, experts say. They feel that Nadine has some nervous behavior and hence she keeps calling the police at the drop of a hat.
Brian Higgins, who is a former chief of the Bergen County police and an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan states:
“When you call 9-1-1 for non-emergency issues you’re tying up resources,“
Further, Brian explained:
“Someone calling for an emergency — it will take longer to get answered and it will delay police response,” Higgins said. “That’s the problem with non-emergency 9-1-1 calls tying up lines.”
Talking about her personality and life situation, Brian elaborated:
“This is a nervous person who calls the police a lot,”
“But, when you add and look at the accident, and the case going on with her husband, and the history before she was married to the senator, it paints a picture of a person who has some issues for sure.”
Nadine, Bob, and their friend Wael Hana are accused of corruption by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. It is said that Nadine had received a 2019 Mercedes-Benz along with other items. Her own car had hit a truck and killed a pedestrian and she had to total it.
