Naomi Campbell is officially a mom to two

Naomi Campbell gave a surprise to the world when she announced the birth of her second child. It’s a baby boy.

On June 29, she posted a picture of herself holding an infant as her 2-year-old daughter reaches her hand to her younger brother’s hand.

She then captioned the post,

“My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A True Gift from God, blessed! Welcomed Babyboy. #mumoftwo.”

The supermodel then concluded her message writing, “It’s never too late to become a mother”. Well, she gave birth to her second child at the age of 53.

Similarly, she had become a mother for the first time in her 50s. In May 2021, she announced the birth of her first child a daughter shortly before her 51st birthday.

Despite having given birth to the daughter, many alleged that she had adopted the child.

She did, however, address the subject last year while appearing with her daughter for the March cover of British Vogue.

She said at the time,

“She’s my child. I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Besides, she expressed her desire to become a mom in the same interview. She shared,

“I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I’m lucky to have her and I know that,”

Similarly, she stated that she has no difficulty with the 50-year age difference between herself and her child. She also admitted to encouraging her older pals to have children.

“I’m telling them all, do it! Don’t hesitate!”

She started modeling during her school years and since has been a popular name in the industry. Naomi is the first British black model to appear on the cover of British Vogue.

She is now looked up to as a role model for those black models, who are taking over the fashion industry and changing people’s perceptions of what is beautiful.

Aside from modeling, Campbell is also well known for her charitable activities. In 2005, she launched Fashion For Relief, a foundation that combines philanthropy and fashion.
