Eventually, she made her debut appearance at the senior World Championships in the year of 1994 but failed to go past the qualifying round. Unfortunately, on November 27, 1994, she got a deep puncture wound in her neck when she was beaten by a friend’s dog.

1994–95 season was her career-defining season as she won the gold medal at the U.S. Championships, followed by the bronze at the World Championships. in the next year, she struggled with back problems but won the bronze medal at the event of the 1997 U.S. Championships.

Furthermore, she earned the bronze medal at the 1998 U.S. Nationals. Unfortunately, later that year, she was aggravated by a hip injury and finished in 17th place and made her withdraw from the World Championships.

In 2000, she missed participating in the qualifying events for the 2000 U.S. Championships as her application was rejected. Later, she toured with Champions on Ice for many years until the year 2004.

Her successful skating career led to a contract with Campbell’s Soup along with skaters named Michelle Kwan and Tara Lipinski. Also, she appeared in a commercial in the winter of 1998.
