Noah Schnapp spoke openly about his sexuality being gay

Noah Schnapp, who is best known for his role as Will Byers on Netflix’s “Stranger Things”, has come out as gay.

The 18-years old actor took to the TikTok platform on Tuesday, January 3, revealing his sexual orientation. He posted a video of himself lying in his bed while lipsyncing the popular audio saying,

“You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious.”

Similarly, Schnapp wrote atop the video,

“When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know'”

The Netflix actor referenced his character in his coming out and captioned it,

“I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought.”

His character, Will Byers, is one of the main characters in the fourth season of “Stranger Things”. Many believed that Will’s character was closeted after he appeared to be in love with his best friend, Mike Wheeler.

In July 2022, he also clarified his character in an interview with Variety. He told,

“Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it’s 100% clear that he is gay, and he does love Mike. But before, it was a slow arc. I think it is done so beautifully, because it’s so easy to make a character just like all of a sudden be gay.”

Fans and Friends praise him with an outpouring of love and support

As soon as Noah posted a video about his sexuality the comment section flooded with tons of love and praise for him.

Fellow LGBTQ member Chris Olsen, who is a popular content creator, commented,

“welcome king”

One of his fans expressed admiration for him, stating,

“Can we all appreciate that noah just came out to the whole world and realize how much courage it takes to do that when youre a literal celebrity.”
