Pastry Chef Anna Olson rise to fame with her cookbooks, endorsements, and TV shows on Food Network Canada!

Anna Olson is a famous American pastry chef. She is from Atlanta and now resides in Canada. She has hosted several TV shows on Food Network.

If we go down memory lane, we can see that Anna Olson was born on 4 May 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is 50 years of age.

Anna was small when her parents Andy and Donna Tomcik migrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada. She was raised there. Her grandparents were originally from Slovakia. It is not known whether she has any siblings.

Anna has a degree in political science and sociology which she obtained from Queen’s University in Kingston.

In the initial days after her graduation, Anna had worked back in Toronto. She was fond of cooking and during her lunch breaks would walk down to St. Lawrence Market and search for ingredients to be used for the dinner parties she would regularly host.

Realizing her inclination toward cooking, Anna enrolled at the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, Colorado. She traveled for some time across the USA.

Anna Olson became a chef and worked first in the USA and later in Canada in Ontario. She was a pastry chef at Inn on the Twenty in Jordan, Ontario for nearly 7 years.

She also penned some cookbooks. These included The Inn on the Twenty Cookbook which was published in 2000. In 2004, she launched her second cookbook called Sugar. By this time, she had also started her TV cooking shows on Food Network Canada.

In 2005, she released another cookbook called  Anna & Michael Olson Cook at Home: Recipes for Every Day and Every Occasion.

Michael is her husband who co-authored some books with her. At the end of 2006, Anna released yet another cookbook called Another Cup of Sugar. She also writes articles for Vines and LCBO Food and Drink.

Anna opened Olson Food at Port in Port Dalhousie in St. Catharines, Ontario. She later sold this hop in 2009. In July 2008, she opened another shop called Olson Foods in Ravine. This was in a partnership that ended in 2010.

Anna has been the host of several food shows. In 2002 and until 2007, she was the host of Sugar. From 2005-2007, she co-hosted Kitchen Equipped. She was the host of Fresh with Anna Olson from 2008-2010.

She hosts Live It every day now and has been doing it since 2009. Her show Bake with Anna Olson aired from 2012 to 2015.

In 2016, she appeared in Inspired with Anna Olson, and in 2018 in Iron Chef Canada. Anna has also endorsed several cooking places and food items.

It was during her time in Inn on the Twenty when she met her husband Michael Olson. He is also a chef and both have written cookbooks together. She has a website called annaolson.com where she puts up unique recipes for her fans.
