Pete Davidson’s mother Amy Davidson shares a poignant tribute to her late husband
Amy Davidson, Pete Davidson‘s mother paid an emotional tribute to her late husband Scott Davidson who died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, on Monday.
The comedian’s mom shared several rare throwback pictures of her firefighter husband who passed away in the 2001 terrorist attacks, in honor of the 22nd anniversary of the tragedy.
Mrs. Davidson captioned the snaps,
“Happiest days of my life and I didn’t know it 💙”
“Never forget and always be grateful 💙”
The series of snaps included Amy and her beloved husband hugging, a young Pete trying on his dad’s firefighting gear, and his sister Casey posing in her dad’s arms.
In March, Pete, 29, recalled how he found out about his father’s demise during the attacks.
During his appearance on the Real Ones podcast, the SNL alum said,
“My dad told me he was going to pick me up from school on 9/11. I got picked up by my mom,”
“She didn’t tell me what was going on for like, three days.”
The comedian added,
“She kept telling me, ‘Dad’s at work,’ ‘He’s coming home,’ whatever. I had no idea.”

Pete and his sister Casey’s tributes to their late father
Davidson, who was only 7 at the time revealed that his mother grounded him from watching television, trying to avoid media coverage of the deadly attacks.
Pete added,
“Then one night, I turned on the TV and I just saw my dad on the TV. I was like, ‘Oh, OK.’ And they were like, these are all the firemen that are, like, dead.”
He explained,
“It was weird because we didn’t know he was dead for, like, three weeks,”
“They were finding people, you know? They were pulling people out of s—, and there was just some sort of hope. Like, it was just up and down and nobody knew how to deal with it.”
Pete along with his sister have paid their respects to their father on gone anniversaries of the attacks.
Last year, Casey shared a trio of photos of her daddy and captioned it,
“This year more then ever I wish you could be here. We miss you, we celebrate you and we remember you every day. Proud to be your caseygirl 💜”
Pete, for his part, shared a series of tweets in remembrance of their father thanking friends who reached out on the day, writing,
“I really appreciate it. I’m a very lucky guy.”
“All jokes aside. There’s not a day that goes by where I dont think of u. Ur my hero. Cant wait to see u again someday.”
