American musician, Peter Cetera is a well-known figure in the music industry. He was the vocalist, frontman, and bassist of the famous rock band Chicago of the USA. He was with the music group from 1967 to 1985. During this time, he recorded 17 studio albums with them.
Peter went solo after that and has eight studio solo albums to his credit. The group’s tenth album ‘If You Leave Me Now’ bagged it’s first Grammy award. Peter’s singles were in the Top 40 on several occasions. His songs also fetched many nominations.
Peter collaborated with other recording artists such as David Foster and Amy Grant. His songs have been on the soundtracks of many TV shows and films.
Peter’s and Chicago’s first album, Chicago Transit Authority of 1969 was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2014. Peter himself was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Relationships and marriages of Peter
Peter, 79 has been married twice and divorced twice. His first wife was Janice Sheely. The two wed in 1968 when Peter was 24 years old. There is not much known about her but the marriage ended in 1973. The couple did not have any children together.
Later, in 1982, Peter wed Diane Nini who was herself a recording artist. There is not much known about Peter’s relationships in between the two marriages. Their daughter, Claire arrived in 1983. But the marriage failed and the two divorced in 1991.
Claire followed the footsteps of her parents. She completed her graduation from the University of Southern California in 2006. She was formerly a competitive snowboarder but later on took to singing, acting, and recording. Claire is also a producer.
Peter’s bandmate, Robert Lamm wed Diane’s sister, Julie in 1976. Julie and Robert have a daughter together whom they named Sacha.

Peter started a relationship with Jane Seymour in 1991 after his divorce from his second wife. Jane Seymour is an actress and seven years younger to Peter. Jane had separated from her husband, David Flynn a few months back. However, the romance of Peter and Jane was short-lived. The two parted ways within one year. In 1992, they ended their relationship. Peter went skiing to the Sun Valley, Idaho, for Christmas while Jane was at home in Santa Barbara with her two children with David, Katherine and Sean. The separation was amicable.
In 1996, Peter started dating Blythe Weber. The two met when Blythe was working with River North Records/Platinum Records. The couple’s daughter, Senna was born in 1997. Senna resides in Nashville. In 2006, she had appeared in the music video created by country singer Josh Turner, Would You Go with Me. This song was on top of Billboard Hot Country Songs that year. Peter and Blythe ended their relationship in 2006.
Later, American singer, songwriter and actress, Crystal Bernard came into his life. The two had done the song (I Wanna Take) Forever Tonight together in the 1990s. They stated that they were just good friends but fans believed that there was something deeper in their bonding.
Several media outlets reported that the two were dating and that they had also secretly wed. But it turned out to be a hoax news. Neither Peter not Crystal confirmed on this relationship. So one is not certain about this relationship.
