How Prince William is Supporting Princess Catherine amid Cancer Treatment!
- A source said that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ priority will be “to look after each other” during this time.
- Catherine announced her cancer last month on social media.
Prince William is the pillar of strength for Princess Catherine
Prince William meant it when he said ”In sickness and in health.”
The Prince of Wales is the greatest source of strength for Princess Catherine as she receives treatment for cancer.
A longtime friend of the royal couple told People,
“He is a very reliable, strong person. She doesn’t feel isolated in this because of William, who is right beside her,”
Even in the video where Catherine shocked everyone with her cancer announcement, she said that her husband of 13 years is “a great source of comfort and reassurance.”
The pal added,
“This is about supporting her and her feeling supported. It is a joint effort. She doesn’t feel isolated at all,”
“The nuclear family that they have created so well is an immense support not only to him but to Catherine too.”
Catherine’s parents, Michael and Carol Middleton also have an additional source of source in this tough time. The matriarch is helping her daughter with the children’s school drop-offs.
Also, Kate’s brother James and sister Pippa live nearby which is a great source of extra help for the future queen.
James shared a throwback photo of himself with his elder sister on Instagram with a touching message, writing,
“Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too.”
While the Princess of Wales herself chose to film the personal video message about her health scare news alone, William has been there every step of the way.
The family friend explained,
“It is a particular time in their lives, and I know their priority will be to look after each other,”
“His priority is on his family, and the other questions can wait.”
How is William coping with personal and professional duties?
The dad of three doesn’t plan to continue his royal duties until after George, Charlotte, and Louis’ school break ends later in April.
Another friend explained that “The children are at the center of their world,”
In the video, Catherine referred to her young family a couple of times, outlining how tough it was to explain everyone to their three children.
In the video message which was recorded as Catherine sat alone in the garden of Windsor Castle, she said,
“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,”
“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”
It’s a challenging time for Prince William as both his wife and father, King Charles are fighting cancer. However, he is determined to handle the pressure and do his duties.
A palace aide said,
“There will be a lot more pressure on William, but he’s always been aware of that. He has evolved to lead, and he is leading,”
“He is well-equipped for it and has his priorities in order.”
