Princess Catherine and Prince William’s connections to the RAF

Hello! reported that Captain Peter Middleton flew as a co-pilot with Prince Philip during an aerial tour of South America in 1962.
Princess Catherine’s new role is already connected to her husband Prince William as he flew as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot based at RAF Valley in Anglesey, Wales from 2010 to 2013. The coupe holds other RAF-related appointments as well.
The future king, 41, worked as the Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Coningsby while the future queen is the Honorary Air Commodore of the Air Cadets.
In July, the couple and their three kids, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, took a field trip to the world’s largest military air show, the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.
The palace also announced that William has been appointed three new roles as the future monarch. The heir to the throne will now be the Colonel-in-Chief, The Mercian Regiment; Colonel-in-Chief, The Army Air Corps; and Royal Honorary Air Commodore, RAF Valley — where he previously flew as a pilot.
