The great writer Sandi Toksvig started her comedy career at Girton College. There she wrote and performed in the first all-woman show at the Footlights.

She appeared as a panelist on comedy shows such as Call My Bluff, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Mock the Week, QI, and Have I Got News for You, where she appeared in the very first episode in 1990.
