What happened to Nic Kerdiles?

Nic Kerdiles, Savannah Chrisley‘s ex-fiance died in a motorcycle crash.

The Nashville Police Department informed TMZ that the 29-year-old lost his life early Saturday morning from the injuries he sustained from the accident around 3:30 a.m.

The outlet confirmed that Nic ran through a stop sign in a residential area north of central Nashville and hit the driver’s side of a BMW.

He was then rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The police told TMZ that there were no signs of impairment in either driver.

Just before the unfortunate crash, the former pro hockey player shared a snap of himself on his motorcycle.

He captioned the Instagram Story, “Night rider,”

Kerdiles and Chrisley ended their relationship back in 2020 after three years of relationship.

She announced their split at the time, writing,

“Oh how I wish this smile was on my face and that infectious laugh was spewing out of my body right now…but sadly it’s not. Nic and I have decided to call it quits,”

The duo got engaged in 2018 and postponed their wedding in 2020 because they thought things moved away too fast. Despite that, the couple announced at the time that they were still together.

Nic Kerdiles attempted suicide last year

After their split, Kerdiles showed that he was a supportive ex by posting kind words about his ex-fiancee on his social media channels.

In 2020, sharing a slideshow of photos of his exes, he wrote,

“This woman right here has been the BIGGEST blessing in my life,”
”She has the purest heart out of anyone that I know. She has treated me with nothing but love and respect in our 3 years together … There was so much genuine love in this relationship and I’m truly blessed to have been able to spend three years of my life with Savannah.”

In 2022, Nic battled COVID-19 and other health issues and was on numerous medications when he blacked out and attempted suicide.

He later said,

“I don’t know where I was at in my mental state, but between the depression, anxiety, the COVID effects, the medication, the alcohol, I did something that I never thought I would ever do,”

A 911 call reported that Nic was holding a gun to his head when his friends and Savannah, 26, intervened.

Kerdiles said at the time,

“I’m super grateful to be here today,”

At the time of his death, Nic was working as a real estate agent. He previously played in the NHL with the Anaheim Ducks.
