American singer, Scott Stapp, 50 and his wife of 18 years, Jaclyn Nesheiwat have divorced. Moreover, the two have found new professional roles that have helped them move on from this personal tragedy of their married life.

American musician and lead vocalist and the lyricist of the band Creed, Scott Stapp, 50 and his second wife of 18 years, model, Jaclyn Nesheiwat, 43 have filed for divorce. Earlier, the two had put in their divorce papers a few times in court, but had withdrawn it on those occasions. They tried to save their marriage and had sought expert counselor assistance. But it looks like the counseling did not help save their marriage.

This year, the couple has filed new divorce documents and their separation seems to be for good this time. Jaclyn’s rep told Entertainment Tonight:

“It’s been a long battle and while this isn’t the future she envisioned, she wishes him the best,”

The rep added:

“The welfare of their children will always be her utmost concern.”

While, on the other hand, Scott’s rep told US weekly:

“Out of respect for their family, Scott intends to navigate this difficult time privately,”

Jaclyn and Scott have new professional assignments

Jaclyn is an American fashion model who won the Miss New York USA title in 2004. She was also Mrs. Florida USA 2008. The beauty queen has penned a book for children. Moreover, she was the head of The Scott Stapp With Arms Wide Open Foundation. Also, she is founder of CHARM (Children Are Magical) foundation.

This year, she was the director of the Miss Florida USA beauty pageant that took place at the Coral Springs Performing Arts Center last weekend. This time, women of all ages were permitted to take part in the beauty contest and the oldest participant was aged 63.

On the other hand, Scott was busy with his Higher Power tour in order to promote his fourth solo album ‘Higher Power’. He just completed the tour and more show schedules and dates will be announced soon.

Scott’s relationship history

Scott dated Hillaree Burns in the mid-1990s. In 1997, the two walked down the aisle together. But after sixteen months of married life, they split in 1998. They have a son Jagger whose custody Scott holds.

When Jaclyn held the Miss New York USA title, she met the singer in January 2005 at a Muscular Dystrophy charity gala in New York. They started a relationship and in January 2006, Scott proposed to her and she said yes. They exchanged wedding vows on 11 February 2006 at Viscaya Gardens in Florida.

First, they resided in Boca Raton but later, relocated to Nashville. They share three children together; daughter Milan Hayat, 17, son Daniel Issam, 13, and son Anthony Issa, 6.

They have been having marital problems since 2014 but had reconciled after counseling. There were more sessions of breakups but they reunited for the kids’ sake. In 2015, Scott revealed that he had bipolar disorder. He said:

“It became a big sign of relief, because finally, we had an answer.”

As regards Jaclyn, this was her first marriage.
