The actress addressed what she told her best friend Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry in what has now become a viral gossip session at the 2024 Golden Globes.

Many fans and so-called internet lip readers thought that the Only Murders in the Building star told her girls that she asked Timothée Chalamet for a photo and his new girlfriend Kylie Jenner said ”no.”

However, the Rare beauty founder blatantly denied the speculations by leaving a comment on E! News’ Instagram post about the confusing video.

Selena wrote,

“Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business,”

Not just Taylor but Chalamet also denied any bad blood between Gomez and Jenner.

The Wonka star told TMZ, “They’re all good,”

After the social media clarification, Gomez announced that she was stepping back from social media again for some time.

Sharing a video of her Blanco spending some time with two kids, Gomez wrote on her IG Story,

“Focusing on what really matters,”
“I’m off social media for a while.”

Gomez, who recently announced that she might only create one more album, briefly left social media in October too. She said at the time,
