Shaina Hurley and Christos Lardakis are expanding their family.

On Tuesday, September 5, the Love Is Blind actress, 33, revealed to PEOPLE that she and Christos are expecting their first child together.

“We feel so thankful and grateful that we have been given such a blessing. Oyr hearts are full. We cannot wait to start this next journey of parenthood together and to meet this little soul!”

The announcement of the pregnancy comes almost a year after the pair got married in July 2022.

Christos proposed to Shaina and she confirmed the engagement in March 2022. The outlet reported at that time,

“Shaina is engaged. She’s been dating Christos for almost a year and this is the happiest I’ve ever seen her. He has stood by her side through all of the ‘Love Is Blind’ drama and has been her steady in the storm, She’s found a man who loves her and understands her … She deserves the very best.”

She spoke openly about her relationship status on Nick Viall‘s podcast “The Viall Files” however it is unknown when they started dating.

“I’m actually in a relationship, It’s pretty serious, He’s been great throughout the whole situation. I’m happy.”

In July 2022, the couple first got a courthouse marriage before having the dreamy European nuptials in Vouliagmeni, Greece later that month.

A month later, Hurley shared the news of her wedding on Instagram, writing,

She later shared a separate post showing gratitude towards their close friends and family who came to celebrate their special day.

The Chicago-based hairstylist had previously hooked up with Kyle Abrams and Shayne Jansen while appearing on the Netflix reality series, Love is Blind.

Hurley even got engaged to Abrams on the show, but she later broke off the engagement and left the show.
