The daughter of Lionel Richie said informed her fans that she converted to Judaism before her wedding to Elliot Grainge, who is a jew.

On Monday, the model wrote over a photo of herself signing a document in Hebrew, “What a magical day.”

Richie also thanked a cantor, Natham Lam for helping her throughout her wonderful journey to change her religion.

She concluded, “It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Today was that day!!”, adding five Star of David emojis.

Sofia was born a Christian and even attended Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California, for a few years of her life.

The young model has been very open about the importance of her faith. In 2016, she remembered a Bible study about “loving your neighbor.” She said that the whole concept was “really cool and important.”
