Steve Mandanda started his career at the very young age of eight in the local team ALM Evreux.  In August 2005, he made his debut for Le Harve. Mandanda played about 30 matches in 2005-2006 and 37 in 2006-2007.

In the summer of 2007, he joined Olympique de Marseille but on 5th March 2008, he signed a permanent four-year contract with the club. In 2016 July, Crystal Palace said they had signed Mandanda from Marseille for a free transfer.

But on 11th July 2017, Steve Mandanda made his return to Marseille on a three-year contract after his injury. He extended his contract with the club till 2024. Furthermore, Stade Rennais reports they are signing a contract with Mandanda for a two-year deal on 6th July 2022.

International Career

Steve Mandanda made his first full international debut on 27th May 2008 when they won against Ecuador in a Euro 2008. His first FIFA World Cup was in 2010 after he made his way through a qualifying campaign.

On 6th June 2011, he was captain of the French team. Similarly, in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Mandanda was in the original squad name but was replaced because of his injury. Mandanda was also part of the squad in the 2018 FIFA World Cup when they won the World Cup.
