Sylvester Stallone opened up about how he saved his years-long marriage to his wife Jennifer Flavin.
The couple decided to reconcile after they almost decided to divorce amicably.
Now the couple has worked out their differences and is happier than ever.

Sylvester Stallone reveals how he saved his marriage to Jennifer Flavin

Sylvester Stallone is happy that he and his wife Jennifer Flavin were able to put aside their differences and give their marriage another chance.

Now the actor is revealing what made the couple get back together after a brief split this past summer.

The 76-year-old told The Sunday Times this week:

”There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which is my love for my family.”
‘It takes precedence over my work and that was a hard lesson to learn.’

Stallone also revealed that at some point he also regrets focusing on his career over his kids in some cases.

Stallone who shares daughters Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20, with Flavin confessed:

”I didn’t pay enough attention when they were growing up,’

He also shares son Seargeoh, 43, and the late Sage Stallion, who died of a massive heart attack at 36 in July 2012 with his ex Sasha Czack.

Stallone blames himself for not being there for his children

The Rocky star revealed how he neglected his family and added:

‘I was so career-oriented and now I go, “OK, I don’t have that much runway up ahead and I want to start asking them about their lives.”
I ask them about their day and they started at first a little monosyllabic. Then I heard one say, “I was just thinking about you.” Oh my God. I’ve never heard that before in my life. When a daughter knows you care, she’s there forever.’

Jennifer, a former model, filed for divorce from the Hollywood star on August 19 citing irreconcilable differences.

At the time the model said that her husband ‘engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets, which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estates.’

Stallone also covered up his two tattoos of Jennifer with two animals.

Stallone released a statement where he expressed his love and support toward his family. He also requested everyone to respect the couple’s privacy during the hard times.

After almost confirming their divorce, the pair decided to meet up at home where they were able to talk out their differences and bring a solution to the problem.

On September 19, Stallone surprised everyone when he shared an Instagram shot of the couple holding hands and captioned it ‘Wonderful…’
