And now Taiwanese singer Rachel Liang has shocked her fans by announcing that she and her husband evangelist Amos Chang have split.

Rachel Liang and Amos Chang-divorce

Taiwanese singer Rachel Liang, 33, and her evangelist Amos Chang, 31 have separated. This revelation came from Rachel’s manager.

He said that Rachel and her husband Amos have parted ways but amicably. He did not disclose the reason for the split between the husband and wife.

But if reports are to be believed, Apple Daily of Taiwan reported that on 21 June 2020, Amos had confessed in front of a gathering of 500 people that he had been disloyal to his wife Rachel. He stated that he had cheated on her with another woman. The name of the woman, of course, he did not disclose.

Prior to this, on 7 May, Rachel had written a cryptic message on her Instagram. It hinted that something was not right in her marriage and it was in trouble.

She had written:

“I am sad today, but I don’t think anyone can tell.”

She was probably meaning this betrayal of her husband.

The relationship between the couple

The new love birds Rachel and Amos had met in 2013 or 2014 at a church event. They started dating and after two years of a good courtship period, wed in 2016.

They seemed happy together and Rachel used to regularly upload pictures of her with Amos on her social media account for her fans.

9 April 2020 was her birthday. Even on this day, everything between the two seemed okay. One day prior to her birthday, Rachel had a party at her place. She uploaded photos of the party which had her friends as attendees.

In one photo, Amos was hugging her from behind. After seeing the photos of the day, no one could think or imagine that the marriage would end like this.

Rachel and her marriage’s teething problems

Rachel had in one interview stated that she did have some teething problems in her married life in the initial days. She is a runner-up in the reality star search program on Taiwan TV called One Million Star. This was in 2008.

Rachel had said that she had found it hard to adapt to life post-marriage. Therefore, she moved back to her family home.

Once, she had even thrown Amos out of her house during one of those angry outbursts. But Amos would bow down for the sake of harmony in marriage.

Additionally, Rachel mentioned that she suffers from polycystic ovary disease. Therefore, she could not conceive still despite the couple wanting to have children.
