Taraji P Henson talks about how she is planning for her wedding!

Taraji P Henson and her fiance former NFL player Kelvin Hayden did an engagement in 2018 and had planned to wed last sumner.

But things did not turn out as, planned and Taraji admits that it has been overwhelmingly difficult for her to do the wedding plans. Now she and Kelvin have planned to walk down the aisle together before July 2020.

The Empire star Taraji P Henson, 49 was serving coffee at American Express’ #ExpressThanks Pop Up Cafe to mark the special Employee Appreciation Day. She spoke about her marriage plans to Daily Mail Online and said:

‘It’s overwhelming, because in my work life, I have dates and emails and now in my personal life it’s like, “Ah,”‘

Explaining more on it, she said:

“I don’t think people understand what goes into wedding planning, trying to match everything up is so crazy.’

At this NYC event, Taraji was in tight leather pants with a black long sleeve top that had a white drawn corset feature. And she matched it with knee-high red-colored leather stiletto boots and a fire red short hairdo. Her accessories were bare minimum in the form of a black leather belt and silver jewelry.

The couple, Taraji and Kelvin are in a relationship since 2015. On 13 May 2018, Kelvin proposed to her and she said yes. Taraji put up a post about her engagement on her Instagram. She uploaded a photo of her stunning engagement ring and wrote:

‘I said yes y’all!!!’

She added:

“He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!”
‘#sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!’

Since then, they have been trying to plan for the big day in their life. But it keeps getting postponed.

Firstly, they planned a wedding to take place in the summer of 2019. But they were unable to arrange for it because for some reason or the other. Then they fixed it for April 2020. But now it looks like they have pushed it further back.

Now, Taraji said that they do not want to wed in the warm weather. Hence they will have a small and intimate ceremony before this coming July.

She had earlier revealed to People:

“I can’t even plan a honeymoon yet because it’s work, work, work.”

Though there is a to and fro about the wedding date, Taraji is excited about one thing and that is her wedding dress. Talking about it, she said:

‘I want my Vera Wang! That’s the only exciting part to me, to be quite honest.’

Taraji has a son Marcell, 25 while Kelvin has two children from previous relationships; daughter Kyra, 11, and son Kelvin III, 10.
