Seems like it is the month for the couples as some are being preggers, some getting married and some getting engaged.

An American actress, singer, and author, Taraji P. Henson is engaged! She is engaged to Kelvin Hayden, an American football cornerback.

She announced her engagement via her social media handle, Instagram with a plate of dessert and her hand wearing the engagement ring and she had captioned,

“I said yes y’all!!!” Henson wrote in the caption of the photo of her ring. “He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!! #sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!! #GODIS”

The couple is soon getting married and hopefully this year itself. He started playing football when he was at the University of Illinois. He played as a cornerback for the Indianapolis Colts team for five years. Then he was transferred to the Atlanta Falcons and later signed with the Chicago Bears.

The couple’s first meet

47-year-old Taraji P. Henson and Kelvin Hayden were spotted together for the first time by paparazzi in the year 2015. The couple was snapped on the beach holding hands.

While she was called in a podcast for a talk in December, she shared her happiness about being in a relationship with an NFL player. While chatting with the editors Cori Murray, Charli Penn, and Yolanda Sangweni, she said,

“I’m very happy. Everything is coming together. I’m happy in my personal life … I’m not the type to blast my personal business. But, you know, I think that’s important for people to know. I’m happy. I’m very very happy. I just am. And you know, we’ve been together for two years. No one would really know that because I don’t really blast my info like that. But I’m very happy.”

Also, an interesting fact is that Kelvin is Henson’s No.1 fan and likes everything about her. She revealed,

“He’s just like, my no. 1 fan, there for support. What I love is that he doesn’t really pay attention to it all. He loves me for me.”

Henson is a child from her past relationship

Golden Globe winner, Taraji has a son named Marcell Johnson from her past affair. She is a single mother to her 24-year-old. Similarly, she broke up with the child’s father, William Lamar Johnson because he was abusive and harassed her.

She further says,

“I know I’m not the only one, but people marvel about the fact that I am a single mother and I did make it.”

Henson’s fiance Kelvin has accepted her son as his own and on his Instagram bio, he also added,

“Father”

So now they are a wholly happy and complete family.
