Thomas and his wife welcomed the baby girl named Willa Gray Akins home from Uganda. They announced the news by sharing the photo of the baby with them through social media. Thomas shared the picture of him with his wife who is holding their daughter in his official Twitter account. He captioned the picture:

“Meet Willa Gray Akins! I can’t believe our daughter is finally home. Thank you to everyone who prayed every single day for this sweet girl”

Thomas and Lauren made the plan to adopt the baby when Lauren visited Uganda with the charity 147 Million Orphans. At the very same time, she was having certain trouble getting pregnant. Now, the Mom of 1 is pregnant with her first biological child.

After sharing the photo of the child, he said to People’s Magazine:

“Lauren had this amazing glow about her and it just felt like she was already our daughter in a weird way. I just blurted out, ‘We should bring her home.’”

The mom of the baby also shared the picture of their daughter with the lovely caption which says:

Lauren and Thomas Rhett announced they are having the first biological baby

She also announced that her second baby is on the way and they are welcoming the child in August. Thomas Rhett and Lauren announced their pregnancy by sharing an adorable picture of them with the word BABY in their hand.

Thomas wrote on his Twitter official account saying:

“We’re so happy to announce that we are pregnant & in the process of adopting a child from Africa! Safe to say life is about to get crazy!”
