Tuff Hedeman had an accident while riding a bull in 1993. Two years later, he returned more aggressive and more challenging to conquer upon his return.

Again, he rode Bodacious for four seconds and consecutively incurred an accident that smashed his face and fell to the ground. Hedeman soon found that his jaw had broken after feeling numb and realizing that blood was pouring through everything.

Tuff was taken to hospital and the doctor revealed that the hit broke every prominent bone in Hedeman’s face where his face was disfigured.

The doctor said he required two surgeries which took 13 hours to complete and required six titanium plates to reconstruct his face.

Tuff Hedeman drew Bodacious again after spending less than two months of recovery at the NFR after that year.
