Tom Sizemore is no longer alive among us! The Saving Private Ryan star took his last breath on Friday, March 4 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California. He was just 61.

Sizemore had been hospitalized after he collapsed at his Los Angeles home on the 18th of February.

His manager, Charles Lago, subsequently updated his health, stating that he had experienced a brain aneurysm and was in a coma.

On February 27, Lago released a statement on behalf of Sizemore’s family stating that the doctors had informed them there was no longer any chance for the actor’s recovery and had recommended end-of-life care.

Tom sadly passed away five days later.

Tom Sizemore passed away weeks after being hospitalized for a brain aneurysm

On Friday, March 3, Charles confirmed his death with a heartbreaking statement that reads,

“It is with great sadness and sorrow I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore (“Tom Sizemore”) aged 61 passed away peacefully in his sleep today at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank,”

The statement continued,

“The Sizemore family has been comforted by the hundreds of messages of support and love shown to their son, brother and father. They are asking for privacy during this difficult time and I am asking for those wishes to please be respected.”

Tom Sizemore is survived by his twins’ sons Jagger and Jayden, whom he shared with ex-wife Janelle Mclntire.

At the time of his death, his sons and brother Paul Sizemore were by his side. Lago said the twins are “devastated by the loss of their father.”

Paul also expresses his grief over the passing of his beloved big brother stating,

“He was larger than life. He has influenced my life more than anyone I know. He was talented, loving, giving and could keep you entertained endlessly with his wit and storytelling ability. I am devasted he is gone and will miss him always.”

Similarly, Lago stated that a private cremation service would be held for the family, followed by a larger celebration of life in a few weeks.
