You read that right, 56-year-old Nancy Hauck volunteered to carry her son Jeff and his wife Cambria’s 5th child. It’s a girl that the Utah family is excited to welcome.
Nancy’s daughter-in-law is unfortunately not able to get pregnant after getting a life-saving hysterectomy. Though she and her husband Jeff wanted kids, they were unable to do so. Thus, granny Nancy is going to be a surrogate for her upcoming granddaughter who is also her daughter.
Jeff and Cambria already are parents to 2 sets of twins and now are expecting their baby no 5. It’s how the grandma decided she’d work as the vessel to carry the new kiddo. For your information, the granny last delivered baby 26 years back.
Nancy, however, may face complications carrying a baby at the age of 56. Most females will have menopause by that age but she is hurrying up before she began menopause. She is equally concerned but is prepared for the same.

What has Jeff said about mother Nancy Hauk being his surrogate?
Nancy Hauck offered to be a surrogate for her son, Jeff Hauck, 32, a computer scientist, and his wife, Cambria, 30 after they were unable to give birth.
The pair had fertility issues over the year and they only conceived their two sets of twins via IVF after 6 long years of complications. It was not enough for them and as biological mothers after she had a Hysterectomy
Though Cambria had a Hysterectomy they wanted to expand their family. Hence, Jeff is grateful for his mother who is carrying his baby girl saying,
“I felt grateful to have such a selfless and loving mom that was willing to make that kind of sacrifice for my family … having experienced over four years of infertility treatments, I knew how complicated the process can be and doubted that it was possible for her to carry a baby for us, but I was very moved that she would even offer.”

Was Nancy healthy enough to be a surrogate mother?
The Utah woman nancy Hauk became the gestational carrier to her granddaughter. According to the doctors, Nancy was completely healthy to be a surrogate even at the age of 56 as feeling surprised,
“I never imagined I would be pregnant at 56 or that this would be possible, but it is the most beautiful thing. I never planned for it, but I had this feeling not long after Cambria’s traumatic birth that I should carry their baby.”
The family who had started the hormone treatment in January 2022 had successfully fertilized the embryo and transferred it a month later to the clinic in February. As the administrator, Nancy is expecting her biological granddaughter she added,
“I told them I was willing… but I thought I would be too old. But to my surprise medics said I was healthy and could do it and here I am.”
Nancy Hauck is so happy to have served as a surrogate for her 32-year-old son, Jeff, and his 30-year-old wife, Cambria when she revealed,
“The pregnancy has been very similar to carrying my son, but I’ve been a bit more nauseous. My husband and Jeff and Cambria have been amazing throughout the pregnancy.”
