Witney Carson and Carson McAllister have expanded their family members! The Dancing With the Stars, 29, gave birth to her second child on Saturday, May 13, a day before Mother’s Day.

She took to Instagram to announce the happy news on early Sunday, May 14, sharing an adorable family photo of four from the hospital bed while captioning,

“My boys could there be a better Mother’s Day gift?? We are on cloud nine and soaking in every second.”

The couple is already a parent to their 2-year-old son Leo, who was born in January 2021.

Similarly, she posted a couple of Instagram stories including a photo of herself cuddling the newborn while giving an update on him. She wrote next to the photo,

“He’s here. Baby is getting 100% oxygen and doing great but breathing a lot fast. They are trying to get it to slow down a little in the NICU. Send prayers!”

In another IG story, the pro dancer noted she was grateful that her baby boy was “back in my arms,” adding to that she said,

“He has to be closely monitored but I’m so happy I’m holding him now.”

The baby arrived six months after the couple announced their pregnancy to the world. Carson first announced the pregnancy news in November 2022 during the live session of the show’s season 31 semifinals.

Similarly, she often documented her pregnancy journey on social media. In January 2023, the pair revealed the gender of their baby.

The So You Think You Can Dance alum opened up about her “traumatic” emergency C-section in February 2021 while interviewing with Us Weekly.

“I was fully dilated and the baby just did not want to come out. His heart rate started going really high. So we has to do an emergency C-section and obviously, we did whatever was right for the baby.”

The Utah native continued,

“I was honestly shocked at the trauma that my body went through. I thought I would never recover.”

Although she acknowledge that the procedure was “so tough” she feels “thankful” for the experience. She said,

“If C-sections weren’t a thing, Leo would not be here. For me, that was big. It just hit me like a ton of bricks. This was my experience. And it was perfect for me. I don’t know why, but that was meant to happen to me. I just had to come to terms with it. … It definitely was meant to be.”
