The city of Wuhan was ground zero for the COVID-19 pandemic. And now the residents took time to enjoy themselves. They held a massive electronic music party in an open-air water park.

There were thousands of revelers at the site. They were dancing to the beats of the music. And the most surprising thing was there was no social distancing and no covers on these people’s face.

This last weekend saw innumerable attendees at the Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park. CNN said:

“Party-goers in swimsuits bunched together shoulder to shoulder, waving to the beat of the music while cooling down in hip-high water; others relaxed on inflatable rubber tubes that packed the pool to the brim, with little space to float around,”

The water park had opened in late June. But there was seasonal rain for almost a month after that. Hence people did not venture to the park. In early August 2020, only half the number of people that were there in August 2019 attended the park.
