Xavier Prather is officially engaged to his girlfriend Kenzie Hansen

Newly engaged couple in town! Xavier Prather took to Instagram on Monday, May 29, to share the exciting news that he proposed to his girlfriend Kenzie Hansen.

Alongside the announcement, he shared a series of photos from their romantic proposal. The proposal took place at MDRD, a modern Spanish restaurant located at the top of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The decoration was set up at the venue with rose petals that were placed in the shape of a heart. Similarly, the words “Marry Me” are set in oversized white letters on the balcony bar.

As shown in pictures, the Big Brother winner, 23, blindfolded his now bride-to-be before taking her to the proposal destination. He then simply captioned the post,

“May 27th, 2023,” alongside black heart and ring emoji.

For the big day, Prather opted for a formal look wearing an elegant, plum-colored suit. Kenzie, on the other hand, looked stunning in a one-shouldered black dress. She is also accessorized with gold bangles and earrings.

Engagement ring

In the last series of pictures that Xavier posted, Hansen can be seen flaunting her engagement ring.

The ring is oval-shaped, the center was set upon a silver band with smaller diamonds inset around its perimeter.

In an Instagram story, when fans asked whose choice of the ring was designed during a Q&A then the attorney and reality star revealed the design was all up to him. He wrote,

“We went to the jewelers together, but the ultimate design of the ring she left up to me.”

The newly engaged picked out the ring from Rogers & Hollands, a local family-owned business.

Xavier gave a further sneak peek of their engagement in his Instagram stories during a Q&A session. He revealed that it took him five months to plan the whole proposal, relieving,

“Eveything went according to plan,”

Similarly, Prather noted he took both of Hansen’s parents out to dinner to get permission and their blessing to marry her before proposing. He said,

“My fiancée has a great relationship with both of her parents. I wouldn’t have been okay with asking one and not the other.”

Further, he posted an Instagram story showing gratitude to all who sent well wishes and congratulatory messages to them, writing,

“Thank You everyone for the kind words and congratulatory remarks! We are still over the mon right now!”

As for the wedding, the reality tv star discloses the planning and “creative control” over the big event is all up to Hansen as he would help out whenever she needs.
