The couple has welcomed their first child together. Paul gave US Weekly an exclusive interview in which he announced about the new arrival in their life.

Karine delivered a baby boy on 22 March 2019. They have named him Pierre Martins Staehle. His birth weight was 6.9 pounds and his length was 19.7 inches at birth.

Paul had said:

“I’m very happy, very excited. I’m also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right.”

Karine also said:

“I am fine, and happy, even with the hard time I have had. And I am recovering well, but I am still very weak. It was super hard, but now everything is fine because the baby is calm and he is breastfeeding well.”

Paul and Karine Staehle’s courtship period had been turbulent. They had their ups and downs and used to fight and make up. They used Google Translate for their communication.

Paul is a man who prepares beforehand for everything. But he faced a lot of challenges. He did have some criminal record, financial woes, immigration issues, and last but not least the barrier of language and hence communication problems.

Karine suffered from two miscarriages. The first of these was talked about but the second phone was televised on-air last season. Paul told US Weekly:

“Right after that second miscarriage went through, we got pregnant again. It was like, boom, boom. That was the one everyone saw on TV.”

He also shared with his fans an adorable picture of his baby son. The baby is sleeping on his side all wrapped up and warm. He has an off-white colored baby cap on for warmth. It is an adorable photo liked by all.

The first-time father who is now in Manaus, Brazil said:

“I’m very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure I do my absolute best for Pierre.”
