Aaron Carter reportedly had an unhealthy obsession with his older brother Nick Carter, a friend reveals. The tragic star’s friend also revealed that he was crying out for love all his life.

Gary Madatyan who was an old friend of Aaron claimed that the late singer often talked about repairing his wounded relationship with the Backstreet Boys member. He did so until his very last breath on Saturday.

Gary further reported that The Aaron’s Party singer’s mental health was the reason for his strained relationship with all of his family members and his fiancee Melanie Martin. Still, he wanted to apologize and repair his relationships with everybody he had hurt.

Madatyan said of Aaron:

“I wish he could have done a little more as a blood relative to Aaron,”
“I’m not judging him. I’m not saying anything bad because I respect him. He’s a talented artist. I love him, but Aaron had an obsession with his brother.”

He added:

“Mentally ill people think differently. He was … pushing, poking to get that attention. Aaron did things he should have never done to his brother, but we’re talking about mental health. He was crying out for help.”

Despite having an estranged relationship for years, Aaron and Nick were in a good place before he tragically passed away on November 5.

Aaron’s rep said in a statement:

”He looked up to Nick in so many ways. They were trying to make everything good again,”

Madyatan believes there was no drug involved in Aaron’s death

The friend also revealed that became shocked over the past few months when new people started coming into Aaron’s life.

He noted that the singer was working hard on his music career and wanted to improve his life so he could gain custody of his 11-months-old son Prince.

Madatyan recalled:

”It just breaks my heart that nobody was there for him,”
“Different kinds of people were pulling him out and using his addiction and his mental illness … They used his name for publicity.”

He also offered help to Aaron by saying:

“I said to him, ‘Look, I don’t like this. I love you so much and will do anything for you, but let me help you. This is not OK, brother. You’re not going on the right path with your life.’”

Madatyan also revealed that Aaron talked about his finances. Madatyan and Aaron’s fiance Melanie were allowed to go inside the former child artist’s Lancaster home after officials took the deceased’s remains for examination.

Gary also revealed that there were no drugs or anything suspicious but the water in the tub was odd and yellow.
