Who is Ace Frehley?

Ace Frehley is the world-renowned rock band member and co-founder of Kiss. Ace Frehley’s persona and nick are Space Ace and The Spaceman.

His other associated acts are Frehley’s Comet and Ace Frehley Band. Space Ace is currently working on the 2020 release, Origins, Vol. 2.

Ace Frehley- Early Life, Family

Ace Frehley was born Paul Daniel Frehley on April 27, 1951, in The Bronx, New York City, New York, U.S. to Carl Daniel Frehley and Ester Anna Hecht.

His father is from Pennsylvania and of Dutch origins whereas his mother is from North Carolina, a true American. The Frehleys were music enthusiasts. And so in 1964, when Space Ace received an electric guitar as a Christmas present he totally lost himself in it as a 13-year-old and has not looked back since.

Space Ace’s inspirations were Jimi Hendrix, Albert Lee, Buddy Guy, and The Rolling Stones among others.

Ace is the youngest of three siblings, his sister Nancy and brother Charles, also a classical guitarist. The siblings were raised on the corner of Marion Avenue and 201st Street, Bedford Park Boulevard, a section of the Bronx.

In which school did Ace Frehley attend?

At the age of 13, Frehley graduated from Grace Lutheran School. He continued his education at DeWitt Clinton High School, Mosholu Parkway, and later from Theodore Roosevelt High School, Fordham Road, Bronx. Thereafter he completed his Diploma.

Space Ace’s style of frenzied electric-guitar playing inspired the well-known guitarist of the 1970s. He plays Gibson Les Paul guitars, along with his own conversion called the “Ampie”. And yes, the smoking stage affects too!

Ace’s music belongs to the genre Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.

The most recent solo singles include Fire and Water, Bronx Boy, and Rockin’ With the Boys. The sole Mission to Mars was released on May 28th, 2019, and includes an animated YouTube video.
